Complaints Policy
The editorial board of the journal is committed to responding quickly and constructively to all complaints. The editorial team and staff of the journal “Innovation and Sustainability” will carefully examine each case according to its nature and complexity, and any decision will be made in consideration of the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Suggestions and complaints should be sent to the journal's email address: info@inns.vn.ua. All received complaints will be reviewed and resolved within thirty working days. However, in cases of complex issues, additional time may be required to complete the investigation.
The complaint should be concise and clear, providing sufficient facts demonstrating possible violations of publication ethics. If possible, additional documents supporting the violation should be included.
Complaints that fall outside the scope of the journal’s competence, such as personal grievances against authors, editors, reviewers, or editorial board members, will be responded to with an explanation of why the complaint is not subject to review. Additionally, the journal will not conduct investigations into complaints that are offensive, threatening, or defamatory in nature.
The editorial board of the journal “Innovation and Sustainability” acknowledges the right of authors to appeal editorial decisions and strives to ensure transparency, impartiality, and fairness during the review of scientific materials.
The following may be subject to appeal:
- a decision to reject publication;
- a request for substantial revision of a manuscript that the author believes is unfounded;
- suspicions of bias or unfairness during the review process;
- other actions by the editorial board that the author believes violate the principles of academic ethics.
Appeal Submission Process:
The appeal must be submitted in writing to the official email address of the editorial board (info@inns.vn.ua) within 30 calendar days of receiving the editorial decision.
The appeal should include:
- the title of the submitted manuscript;
- a clear and reasoned explanation of the grounds for the appeal;
- any additional documents or materials supporting the author's position (if available).
Appeal Review Process:
The appeal will be reviewed by the editor-in-chief or an authorised editorial board member who did not participate in the initial decision-making process. If necessary, a re-review may be organised with an independent expert.
The appeal will be reviewed within 30 calendar days of its receipt. After the process is complete, the author will receive a reasoned written response with the final decision of the editorial board.
Finality of the Decision:
The decision made after reviewing the appeal is final and cannot be further appealed.
